A great building in the wrong place is just a building. We start with the location — the loch, the cliff, the lagoon, the glen — and work inwards from there.
Service that disappears
The best hospitality is the kind you stop noticing. We look for places where things are handled before you've thought to ask, without ceremony.
A sense of place
Retreats that could be anywhere don't interest us. We favour houses, lodges and villas that could only exist where they stand.
Worth the journey
Every property here is somewhere we'd happily travel a long way for — whether that's three hours up the A9 or a seaplane across an atoll.
